Preventing Sexual Harassment in Live Comedy
Essential training to prevent sexual harassment in live comedy spaces. An overview of the issues, power dynamics, and industry-specific risks …and what we can do about them.
Whether you’re a promoter, venue staff , booker or performer, these self-paced modules give you the knowledge and tools you need to create safer, more accountable spaces for everyone in comedy.
Each short module is designed to be practical, straightforward, and specific to the live comedy world.
What the training covers:
What is Sexual Harassment?
Clear definitions, real-world examples, and why some behaviour often gets overlooked.
Changing Employer Obligations
The law is changing, here’s what you need to know about the new duty to prevent harassment, not just respond to it.
New Powers for Employees
What workers are entitled to under new legislation, and how this affects performers, freelancers, and staff.
Risks and Reasonable Steps
Understand what’s expected of venues and promoters, and what counts as “reasonable” when taking action.
Third Party Harassment
How to respond when the harassment comes from an audience member, performer, or other third party — and what the law says.
Documentation
Templates, checklists, and tips for showing your work and protecting your organisation.
EHRC Guidance
A quick walkthrough of guidance from the Equality and Human Rights Commission and what it means in practice.
Labour’s Plans
What’s on the horizon from the incoming UK government, and how to stay ahead of the curve.

Learning was great (Quiz was broken though)
Final question wouldn't accept any answer as correct, but thanks for the learning!

Good videos
The answering process in the quiz is a bit all over the place, it's not clear that you can select more than one answer and I'm pretty sure Q3 is incorrect. Videos informative though

Great info q3 of quiz needs checking
There's some really good stuff in here. I don't think the right answer is set on q3 of the quiz. I can only get 67% regardless of which option i choose
